Genny Simard is originally from Montreal, but has travelled with her husband for many years. They both have been fans of off road vehicles, and they actually got married in one! After moving to New Brunswick in 1998, she fell in love one day with a sailboat moored in the St. Andrews harbour, and after purchasing it, has since moved into this beautiful seaside town. In 2008, she and her husband took their boat down to Florida for 6 months, and have since shared their love of the water with many visitors.
As a biologist, Genny has worked with the local aquarium and one of the whale watching companies before she decided to start Turtle Shore Adventures, offering tours in both English and French, focusing on the local wildlife and fascinating history of the area. If you do not find Genny on the wharf, she is usually aboard her sailboat or riding her 4-door Jeep around the peninsula, especially with the top down on beautiful sunny days!
Genny's shop, at the base of the town wharf, has a great selection of hand-made crafts, hand-sewn coats and capes, and a variety of toys and books. Come say 'Hello' to the family of river turtles spending the summer in their spacious pond right inside the shop!
